THIS BOOK IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I sat down to read one chapter and couldn’t stop (I almost missed a meeting!!) Highly recommend this for anyone/everyone looking for a hilariously relatable, realistic, fun, info-packed, LONG-OVERDUE approach to weight loss and better health!!

Dressing On The Side is without a doubt the best food-related book I have ever read. The author possesses something incredibly important, a feature that nearly every other writer in this space lacks: CREDENTIALS. This important book signals a shift from the pseudo-science and wishy-washy self-help characteristics of past "health and diet" books to something real, approachable, and based in facts. Jaclyn London does an incredible job entertaining us while making eating better both realistic and fun. I bought the book AND listened to the audiobook so it would really sink in...then I bought it for my parents and friends.

Don't listen to Instagram! Listen to the simple, science-backed advice in this book. Love all the actionable advice and tips—but this is far a preachy diet book, at times it made me laugh out loud! Highly recommend.

A lot of repeating in order to make the book seem big. Disappointed to see the eat every 3 hour approach. A book for 15-20 years ago.

This is a book for those of us who have bounced around from fad diet to health craze to cleanse failures and are looking for something real! Hearing concrete scientific answers to how to eat healthy and make smart food choices is incredibly refreshing. And while you might think such fact-based information will be dry and boring, London's humor, her pop culture references and her approachable charisma make this book so enjoyable to read. I absolutely love it!

Can not recommend this book highly enough! I’ve spent years beating myself up when I overindulge, swearing I’ll “do better tomorrow” and feeling like I have zero willpower. This book not only upended that negative mindset and dispelled a lot of the diet myths I’d believed for so long, it also gave me a vast toolkit of healthy suggestions to employ whether dining out, on the road or at the grocery store.Honestly, this is SO MUCH BETTER than any of the thousands of “diet” books out there. Truly a game changer and such a fun, fast read! Don’t miss it!
