5 starsI purchased a copy of the short novel Billionaires in Love: The Missing Billionaire by Christine Kersey and this review was given freely.Still grieving after her sister's tragic death at sea,interior decorator Chloe has to come to terms with her conflicting emotions when she is reunited with the only survivor of the ship wreck, her former best friend and secret first love, the billionaire Nathan. This well written clean romance flows easily bringing happiness out of a sad and tragic situation. The story is packed with emotion, contains drama and realistic characters as well as a happy ending.
I have read several of the series that Christine has been a part of. I have enjoyed all of them!
Growing up it had been the three of them, Nathan, Lisa and her, Chloe. He wanted. to celebrate after graduation taking a cruise. Looking for Lisa, and finding she had gone on the cruise. Relieved he was alive, wanting to see and hear him, was important. Just as the dreams replaying in her mind of the crush she had on him. Angry that her sister was gone. He was your friend, be glad he is alive. She was an interior designer, her boss now telling her of a new client. Nathan and only her, to do the work, on a house he had just bought. It was a fixer, with only one thought of what to do. Delightful story, the road for forgiveness was’t going smoothly and would take time. Memories of happier times. Would a love come, or blossom once again. A story one loves to read from beginning to the end. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
This was a great book as Chloe and Nathan learned to get past their guilt and Chloe. Chloe blamed Nathan for her sister's death on his private yacht. Nathan survived for a year on a deserted island before being found and coming back. This was a quick read. Kind of shows how we all tend to maybe come to quick decisions when we don't know all of the facts and hold on to hate and grudges, when letting them go makes us feel so much happier and free.
A Story of a long ago crush, of the death of a sister that was part of a threesome. Chloe is angry, blaming Nathan for her sister's death. Nathan patiently and lovingly pursues Chloe, seeking her forgiveness so he can forgive himself. Chloe eventually finds out that she had her facts wrong. Nathan's loving pursuit reminds me of God lovingly pursuing us. A great read and couldn't put it down. A clean romance that keeps your interest.
Long time friends, Nathan and Chloe, reunite after thinking he died along with her sister while out cruising on his yacht. Nathan had been stranded over a year on a deserted island before he was found. Growing up Chloe always was attracted to Nathan hoping for more than friendship. Seeing him again all those feelings came back. Will Chloe be able to forgive Nathan? Over time as things unfold she was able to forgive her friend and let her true feelings be known. This was a book you couldn’t put down once you started reading. I love how things unfold and how you feel like you come to know the characters.
Nathan was missing and presumed dead after his yacht crashed and Chloe’s sister died on the cruise they had gone on. He turns up a year later and we find out he had been stranded on a deserted island. Chloe harbors a lot of anger towards him for her sister Lisa’s death, and Nathan feels very guilty as well. The two former friends work to find their way back to each other and learn that sometimes you need to know all the facts before you judge someone.
I really enjoyed this book could not put it down. Love how Christine introduces each character so you get to know each of them feel like you know them personally. Chloe and Nathan are just made for each other so happy they were able to finally get over the blame for Lisa's death. Every book that I have read from Christine has drawn me in to the story she is an excellent writer and I can,t wait for the next one.
